Synonymous with quality for over 200 years, Cedral Tassoni was founded as an apothecary in 1793 in Salò, on the banks of Lake Garda. An internationally recognised excellence, it is the expression of a long history that, through continuous evolution, has led to the creation of timeless recipes.

1750

THE ORIGINS

The apothecary was established in the centre of Salò, on the shores of Lake Garda. It belonged to Giovanni and Antonio Bondoni and was later inherited by their niece Bona Bondoni, wife of Lelio Barbaleni. The Barbaleni family owned the property for several generations.

1793

THE PHARMACY

Recognised as a pharmacy in 1793, in 1868 ownership was transferred to Bartolomeo Castelli and Count Nicola Tassoni. In 1884 Paolo Amedei bought the pharmacy and decided to divide it from the distillery: thus the Cedral Tassoni company was born.

1921

CEDRATA TASSONI SYRUP

Paolo Amedei was succeeded by his son, Carlo, who created a new recipe: Cedrata Tassoni syrup. The drink’s fame spread quickly, not only for its fresh and original taste, but also thanks to the skillful use of advertising.

1956

THE BIRTH
OF AN ICON

The 1950s saw the birth of the iconic Tassoni Soda: made from the classic syrup, with water and soda added, the new carbonated, refreshing drink was an immediate success.

1966

ADVERTISING

Carlo Amedei was succeeded by his daughter Ornella, who made use of the media to promote Tassoni: advertisements were produced for periodicals, newspapers, up to the unforgettable television appearances with Mina’s carousels in the 1970s.

TODAY

2021 AND A NEW ERA IS BORN

In 2021, Gruppo Lunelli acquired Tassoni, ushering in a new era of growth and development for the brand. Rooted on tradition, Tassoni is a model of Italian luxury soft drinks par excellence and a leading player in the world of mixology.

THE ORIGIN OF A MYTH

In the course of time, Tassoni has achieved great success thanks to the skillful use of advertising: first with the iconic posters of the 1920s and 1930s, then with the television commercials and Mina’s carousels of the 1970s, thus becoming part of the collective imagination and Italian cultural heritage.
